In summer 2010 Marin embarked on his first big adventure and kayaked solo from Savudrija (Croatia) to the Island of Zakynthos (Greece), covering more than 1400 kilometers in one month.
South Korea Sea Kayaking
In winter 2011 Marin and Simon Osborne become first kayakers to sucesfully circumnavigate the Korean Peninsula. Three weeks of paddling in temperatures ranging from -10° to +10°C, water temperature just above freezing and strong tidal flows.
Mini Adriatic Expedition
In summer 2011 Gal Jakic, a Slovenian Paralympian, and Marin tried to set a speed record for kayaking the coast of Croatia, but after 500km had to abort the expedition due to medical problems. Marin finished the expedition alone.
In January 2012 Marin lead a Slovenian-British ocean rowing expedition across the Atlantic ocean. The rowed from Canary Islands to Barbados in 45 days and had a lot of fun!
In fall 2012 Marin attempted another challenge, riverboarding the length of the beautiful Soča river in his home country Slovenia, 140 kilometers in one go without sleep. Unfortunately the challenge wasn’t successful due to a leaking drysuit failure. He will reattempt in spring 2013.
